We at Newburgh Sports Club booked the Whiskey Chasers for our summer fun day barbecue, the plan was for them to play two sets starting from roughly 7.30pm. They arrived early, completing sound checks etc before joining in with on hand festivities. Everyone was looking forward to the performance and the 1st set didn’t disappoint, the sound was brilliant and the entertainment had the club bouncing the band even dressed in summer Hawaiian shirts to get in the spirit of the day. During the break they left some music playing so the atmosphere was maintained, they also took some requests for certain songs from their wide catalogue. The 2nd set was if possible even better, the variation in music suited all age groups present and the dance floor was full and rocking for the entire night, nobody disappeared until the final song was sung, which included don’t look back in anger in tribute to the recent Manchester attacks which was appreciated by all and finally an encore by way of request.The sets were longer than we imagined and we more than got our money’s worth. We are looking to extend our day next year and would have no hesitation in inviting the band back, we have had many requests to do so already.
